About Us

The Bay of Plenty Education Trust is a charitable organisation established in 1985.

The objective of the Trust is...

"the advancement of education by the provision of grants, loans, scholarships, financial assistance or other means as the Board sees fit"

The Trust aims to achieve this charitable objective by:

1. the provision of Scholarships for tertiary study.
2. the development of ideas and facilities for the enhancement of education in the region.
3. the funding of community trade training schemes (presently through the ‘Instep’ programme).
4. the development of future leaders in the community. (Future Leaders Programme)

The Trust Board members are persons successful in their own spheres of activity and are able to contribute to the realisation of the Trust objectives.
