Leny Woolsey

Leny has a background in tertiary education, having worked at the University of Auckland Business School in both teaching and research roles between 2012 and 2023. 

Her research specialism was leadership and governance.

Leny holds a PhD in Management and an Executive MBA. She currently works as General Manager Strategy at Whakatāne District Council and lives near Edgecumbe.

She has sat on two school boards and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand. Leny hopes that her work as a trustee will help to enable more equitable opportunities to achieve excellence in education across the Bay of Plenty.
